“I am Veerle, the face and creator behind VeHa Ceramics, my place where tranquillity and creativity come together. My journey did not begin out of nowhere; it is the result of a deep search for balance, simplicity and authenticity. In rural Dworp, each piece is handmade, turned and finished until it feels just right.  Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, but always at the right pace and with respect for the clay. My ceramics are meant to be used and cherished and don't always have to be perfect.  Oh yes, accepting this was also a big part of the journey. 

Perfect imperfection is not the absence of skill but the presence of humanity.

I love sober, natural colours and shapes with the occasional colourful accent. A bowl with walls thick enough to lie firmly in your hands, a cup that makes you instantly happy in the morning, a plate that can easily coexist with others, without worrying about being unique. 

Just slow down, focus on the everyday and simply enjoy the peace and quiet.”
